Five Beachwood Teens Among Maltz Semifinalists
Students picked out of 1,800 essays for 24 spots

Five local teens have been named in the top 24 of 1,800 entries for the Stop the Hate essay contest.
Jonah M. Firestone, Christina Phelps and Scott Remer, of , Seema Kazen of and Naja Aramenta Jean Davis, a Laurel High School student who lives in Beachwood are eligible for $100,000 in prizes and scholarships.
The group will be narrowed down to ten students who will compete for three college scholarships with oral presentations April 22 at Severence Hall.
