1. CHRIS BOHJALIAN VISIT AND BOOK SIGNING

Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library, Saturday, 2 p.m.

Why Go: He’ll be talking about his best-selling novel Secrets of Eden and signing copies.

Pricing: Free, but RSVPs are requested so the library’s staff can set up enough seats.

Where/When: Mandel Jewish Community Center, Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Show off your triathlon skills! Just kidding. You should already know about it if you’re going to compete. But let’s cheer on those brave enough to run, swim and bike their hearts out, and maybe it will give the rest of us the motivation to jump back on that treadmill we haven’t touched since Jan. 2.

Where/When: Beachwood High School, Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (but get there by noon if you want some grub).

Pricing: $5 for pancake breakfast, $3 extra for the omelet bar.

Why Go: Wii gaming, moonbounce, vendors, pancakes … should I go on?

Where/When: Nighttown, Friday, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Nighttown serves up some great food (try the lobster macaroni and cheese) and classy cocktails. Plus, Marc Antoine has worked on the soundtracks for Get Shorty, Demolition Man and Patch Adams.

Where/When: Touch Supper Club, Saturday, 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Why Go: Free salsa lessons with a live band: an easy way to get out of the usual Saturday night date night doldrums.
