"If fans see that we are close, then you get to stop answering those questions, it actually made us a little bit closer," Jefferson told cleveland.com. "So, I was going to keep doing it just so that, if it took, not pressure, but any attention off of other things, and put it on something funny and positive, then I was going to do it."

Tommy Bahama director of brand marketing, Eric Karp has been thrilled with the unexpected free publicity Jefferson and the Cavs have given his brand through Li'l Kev, reports cleveland.com.

Karp isn't ruling out an endorsement deal either, "We have not offered RJ an endorsement deal, but if he'd like to have a chat about it, we sure can."

With regards to next year and his future with basketball, Jefferson remained a bit cagey, only confirming that he will be a free agent next season.

"Lil Kev should get a ring," Jefferson said. "Everyone knows, there's a reason why all these people are here. Lil' Kev was the MVP of the season."
