Loose Pet Causes Road Rage Confusion

A woman thought a man was attacking her in her car, but he was just trying to protect his cat, according to a report.

A woman on E. Baintree and Lyndway Roads in Beachwood called police nd reported that a man in a purple Saturn was driving erratically. He got out of the car, slammed his fists on her window and prevented her from leaving, she said.

Then he left toward Richmond Road.

When officers arrived, they found the man, who said he was afraid the woman was going to hit his cat, who had escaped from his house, with her car.

Both parties and the cat checked ok, the report notes.
