Emma Pearson, 51, of Garfield Heights, was found unresponsive in her cell about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.Pearson was pronounced dead at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center where she was pronounced dead by medical staff. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office transported Pearson's body to their facility for further investigation.Pearson was involved in a shoplifting incident at the Chagrin Blvd. Giant Eagle where a slab of ribs was stolen according to police reports.
