Police spot road rage altercation

Monday, Aug. 6, 10:18 a.m. — An officer spotted two men arguing on Cedar Road and Richmond Road. One was a pedestrian and the other a driver, and police reported that they had a “minor physical altercation,” though no one was taken to the hospital for their injuries. Neither man wanted to press charges.

Resident reports phone scam

Monday, Aug. 6, 11:08 a.m. — A resident reported that someone identifying themselves as an employee of “Winners International” called and told the resident they had won a car, and wanted them to send a $300 gift card to CVS for the car to be delivered.

Stolen car recovered at Beachwood Place Mall

Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2:11 a.m. — Police found a car stolen from Lyndhurst in the parking lot.
