Wiggins Place to Build $8.5 Million 36-Unit Addition

Assisted living facility in Menorah Park will add 62,000 feet

will break ground on a 36-unit addition to their Menorah Park assisted living facility next year, CEO Steven Raichilson told the city Thursday.

Beachwood's Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously approved the preliminary site plans for the $8.5 million addition, which will add 31 units to the 114-unit facility. Five units in the addition will replace existing units that will be demolished.

Wiggins Place's waiting list for its 1- and 2-bedroom units is 126 names long, said Raichilson Thursday. The addition will include 1,400-square-foot units — larger than any existing Wiggins Place apartments.

Wiggins Place is part of Menorah Park Center for Senior Living, the largest facility of its kind in Ohio that that also includes Stone Gardens and the R.H. Myers Apartments.
