A Made-Up Party and Fraud Reported: Brecksville Police Blotter
The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents were reported by the from June 25 to 28. The information was compiled from police reports.
A confusing story ends with a disorderly conduct charge
Police got a call from a resident at 1:45 a.m. on June 28, who said they heard screams on Cherokee Lane. The resident suspected there was some underage drinking going on, noting that a vehicle had just left.
An officer spotted a parked car on the corner. A 19-year-old Brecksville man was sitting in the front seat, drinking a can of pop. He told police that he had been drinking other beverages—like some shots and beers—earlier, though. When police told him why they were called down, the man said he had gotten into a fight with his girlfriend earlier that night, but that the noise disturbance was from another nearby party. Police checked the area he described, finding no party. The man then said he had been trying to cover for a friend, who was the one in an argument. The 19-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct/intoxication. Police checked on the friend and his girlfriend, who confirmed the noise, but said there was no further trouble.
Attempted fraud reported
A Brecksville resident stopped by the station on June 25 to report someone had tried to make some purchases using her bank account. Someone tried to use her account in Mexico on June 22 and in Washington on June 23. The bank told police that both attempted transactions had been denied. The resident’s account was closed, and the report was given to the credit bureau for further investigation.
