Kiwanis Horse Show to Be Held This Weekend
The money raised at the 65th annual event supports the community.

The Horse Show has been a summer staple for 65 years.
“It’s a tradition,” said Mike Memmer, chairperson of the show.
The includes a variety of activities, from serious competitions to a stick-horse race for children. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday in the Hunter Jumper Ring in the . The main ring activities begin at 9 a.m. A full, detailed schedule can be found on the Kiwanis’ website.
All the proceeds from Kiwanis’ events go back to the community, and people know that the organization does a lot for local children, Memmer said. That’s why he thinks the community has always supported the group.
“It’s always been a community-wide event,” he said.
