Maryann Candies, the self-proclaimed “Easter Headquarters,” is ready to fill the Easter baskets of Bresckville boys and girls.

Employees at the store say that the holiday is the second-busiest holiday — only Christmas is busier.

Valentine’s Day is close behind.

We stopped into the store on Brecksville Road to find out what some of the top items are for the year.

Here they are:

Chocolate bunnies: Made the old-fashioned way, these remain the top seller at Easter. But over the years, other animals, such as ducks, hens and sheep, have been added to the product line.

Chocolate eggs: What would Easter be without the Easter eggs. Maryann Candies offers a variety of these, too. Perfect for anyone’s Easter basket.

Cake balls: A relatively new addition to the store, these treats are a big draw.

Homemade fudge: With several varieties to choose from — including chocolate and peanut butter — this fudge remains a favorite in Brecksville.

Nuts: Chocolate not your thing? One of the few remaining spots in Northeast Ohio to buy fresh, roasted nuts. Think peanuts and pistachios.
