- Jazz lovers are in for a treat - the Cincinnati International Jazz Festival will be holding a two-day event over the weekend. The festival will take place along the Ohio River. Besides offering an assortment of musical acts, there will also be food, art exhibits, and an assortment of events celebrating Cincinnati jazz. (dayton.com)
- A Cincinnati man has been hospitalized after a bus driver refused him access to his oxygen tank. Henry Parker of Avondale was returning home from an event when his oxygen tank began to run low on power. The Metro Access driver refused to allow him to charge his device, resulting in Parker being rushed to the hospital. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Fans of Fiona the hippo now have a chance to spend quality time with her and her growing family. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is offering a raffle where the grand prize is an Ultimate Hippo Getaway. Lucky winners will be able to experience a meet-and-greet with Fiona, her mother Bibi, Tucker, and new baby Fitz. Proceeds from the raffle will go to providing food, housing, and toys to keep the animals entertained. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Burger King has announced that it will be testing a new meatless chicken sandwich - exclusively in Cincinnati. The restaurant chain will offer its new Impossible Original Chickβn Sandwich at locations throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. There is no word on how long the sandwich will be offered at these Burger Kings, but should the test prove successful it is likely that the meatless sandwich will eventually be offered at nationwide locations. - A woman walking along the I-75 northbound near the East Galbraith Road exit was struck by traffic. Exit 126 was closed for roughly an hour, resulting in traffic congestion. However, once the exit was reopened there were no further delays. There have been no updates regarding the womanβs condition as of Friday evening. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
