Here are the top four stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Police have reached out to the public for help in finding a teenage runaway. The Cincinnati Police Department is hoping anyone with information regarding missing Dayrin Croc Croc, 15, who disappeared from her home for β€œunknown reasons,” will come forward. The teen was last seen on Rapid Run Road near the 4600 block on Aug. 22 at 4:00 AM. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  2. A group of families has banded together to build a Down syndrome center in Cincinnati. After struggling to drive hours to find support, people with Down syndrome and their families will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities and resources right in their own community. Gigi's Playhouse, which will open on Sep. 24, is free and provides activities for all age groups. (Spectrum News 1)
  3. A young man who was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday has died. The driver hit Ryan Malm, 25, as well as two women, in the 3100 block of Linwood Ave. The women were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Malm was pronounced brain dead and on life support as of Monday. β€œHe served in Afghanistan, he’s an airborne, he’s a powerful guy, he’s incredibly brilliant,” his mother told reporters. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  4. After four years of waiting, it’s time to celebrate the opening of Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund. On Friday, Cincinnati city officials signed a contract that will determine how much subsidy can go to each affordable housing project. However, the fund has less than three million dollars currently available, and without further subsidies, some projects could be halted indefinitely. (WVXU)
