Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- A man with an AR-15-style rifle fired a nail gun into the FBI building in Cincinnati on Thursday. According to the federal agency, the breach resulted in a lockdown, road closures, and police exchanging shots with the suspect. NBC News reports that the man shot a nail gun at personnel in the agency's visitor screening facility at around 9:00 a.m. before fleeing north on Interstate 71. (Cincinnati Patch)
- Two men have been arrested in the Cincinnati shooting that injured nine people. Diablo McCoats and Jarvis Barnes have both been arrested for the shooting which took place in Over-the-Rhine on Sunday morning. McCoats is facing 16 counts of felonious assault and one count of having a weapon under disability; Jarvis Barnesis facing seven counts of felonious assault and one count of having a weapon under disability. - The 16th annual Ride Cincinnati is raising money for a life-saving cause. The grassroots bike tour, which helps raise money to benefit cancer research and care here in Greater Cincinnati, is kicking off with a party on Sep. 16. Then, on Sep. 17, riders will depart from downtown Cincinnati, completing routes ranging from eight to 100 miles. After the ride, participants will finish at Yeatmanβs Cove for a rider celebration until 2:00 p.m., with an exclusive location for 100-mile riders that will remain open until 4:00 p.m. (WLWT Cincinnati)
