Here are the top 3 stories today in Cincinnati:

  1. According to Cincinnati police, one person was taken to the hospital following a reported shooting Sunday morning in Deer Park. Law enforcement stated that the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on Ohio Avenue. The victim was taken to UC Medical Center and their injuries have not been publicized. The investigation is ongoing. (FOX19)
  2. Parties over the weekend have led residents and officials in the CUF neighborhood to voice concerns about the noise and the behavior of students in the area. Videos of the party in question show students dancing on top of police vehicles, burning a shopping cart, and throwing furniture off the roof of a building. Letters were sent to students and residents in the area reminding them of the consequences of more rowdy behavior. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
  3. Over the weekend, 75 Greater Cincinnati children in need received their own bed to sleep in. St. Vincent de Paul hosted the Hope To Dream fundraiser to help ensure children in the area have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. St. Vincent de Paul gives out more than 1,500-bed vouchers every year. Volunteers helped build the beds for the children. Hope to Dream event gifts 75 Greater Cincinnati children with beds of their own (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)

  • Heather Britt, Cincinnati Ballet choreographer and Dancefix by HBDC founder, was just named as one of Cincinnati Enquirer's 2022 Women of the Year. Heather's new piece, "In Good Company," will debut during The Kaplan New Works Series, Sept. 8-18 at the Aronoff Center for the Arts. (Cincinnati Ballet via Instagram)
