Students from two schools raised money to benefit the James Cancer Hospital

Summer campers from Enchanted Care Learning Center schools in Hilliard recently partnered to donate more than $950 to the James Cancer Hospital in honor of Amy O’Day, a long time Enchanted Care kindergarten teacher who lost her battle with cancer in March. To help raise funds for the hospital, students held a lemonade stand and sold baked goods in honor of O’Day’s memory.
Enchanted Care Learning Center instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Their signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
