Enchanted Care® Students Bug Out with Excitement for Ladybug Release
Students celebrate Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing more than 3,000 beneficial bugs into their schoolyard
Students at Enchanted Care Learning Center in Powell recently bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released more than 3,000 ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students were dressed for the occasion, wearing red and black. Students also planted herbs and citronella plants around their playground and in the garden to celebrate the holiday.
Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Enchanted Care teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
