Per Judith, " I was asked to speak about my memoir/biography, BITTERSWEET FREEDOM, especially in light of the mid-term elections taking place in Ameria, where socialists tout the benefits of socialism upon the American Public. Socialism and Communism are unsustainable systems of drudgery and despair. If these systems are so wonderful, why are thousands around the world making the dangerous trek to America to escape from those regimes?"

When asked how she and her family came to America, Judith replied, "During the dark, mournful days of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, thousands of Hungarian refugees made their harrowing escape to America escaping vile Soviet oppression. My father was a 1956 Hungarian Revolution Freedom Fighter, with a death sentence pronounced upon him by the Russian Army for being one of the main instigators of that Revolution against the Soviet occupation of Hungary.

My parents and I fled at a moment's notice amidst a barrage of Soviet gunfire seeking the shores of Freedom. Many of our companions were shot and killed along the way. The price of Freedom is very high. But what would you sacrifice to live in freedom? Would it be worth the price you had to pay?"

Judith's story encompasses the trials and hardships of her family to gain acceptance in America; however, they had no concept of the ethnic persecution awaiting them in the Land of the Free. That persecution forced the family into a realm of destitution and despair, but despite all odds, the family made their way to becoming American Citizens, Loved America, assimilated into American culture, gave back to the country, and never took assistance from the country that gave them a home when they had nowhere else to go.
