The case began with a traffic stop on Portage Trail at Front Street and later included a controlled buy at a Cuyahoga Falls apartment complex.
   

2. Task force makes 13 arrests in sex stings (tribtoday.com) — A Cuyahoga Falls resident, former attorney Chris Barley, was among 13 men arrested in recent Mahoning Valley sex stings targeting buyers, including two accused of seeking sex with minors. State and local agencies say the ongoing operations aim to curb demand that fuels human trafficking across northeast Ohio, with suspects coming from several cities and even out of state.

No. 1 Delbarton, No. 4 CBA and Blair advance wrestlers to semis at Walsh Ironman (nj.com subscription) — One of the nation’s toughest high school wrestling tournaments is underway this weekend at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, bringing more than 120 teams and top-ranked wrestlers to town. New Jersey powers Blair, Delbarton, and CBA have multiple athletes into Saturday’s semifinals as the team race stays tight.

Evanescence Performed 'Afterlife' at The Game Awards, Reminding Gamers What 2003 Felt Like (metalsucks.net) — Fans in Cuyahoga Falls can look ahead to Evanescence’s 2026 world tour stop at Blossom Music Center on July 30, part of a North American run with Spiritbox and Nova Twins. The band just showcased their song “Afterlife” at The Game Awards, tying into Netflix’s Devil May Cry anime and promoting a new remix version now available online.
