2 Grants Rejected: Bath News Wrap-Up
Notes from the township trustees meeting this week

Bath Township officials got some disappointing news from two would-be funding sources.
Trustees learned Bath will not receive a grant from the Summit County Emergency Management Agency that would have paid to replace an emergency siren at the fire station.

And the Ohio Historical Society did not choose the township for an Ohio History Fund Grant.
The agency received 64 grant requests and selected 11 projects to fund.

Bath had sought money to rebuild the vault in Bath Center Cemetery. The township will not look for other ways to pay for the project.
In other business at this week's trustees' meeting:
• The Memorial Day Committee is looking for new members. Anyone willing to volunteer is asked to call 330-666-4007.
The Memorial Day observance is scheduled for Monday, May 27 at noon at the Bath Veterans’ Memorial.
• Three zoning permits were issued for new residences in Feburary. There were also two permits granted for pools, two for signs, three for businesses and one for an accessory structure.
• The Parks and Service departments received 16 applications for part-time seasonal workers.
