Informational Meeting for All-Day Kindergarten on March 22

The Revere School District is offering a pilot, all-day, tuition-based kindergarten program next school year (2012-13), as an option to the normal half-day, no cost program.  The annual tuition for the all-day program is $2,950.

”A Curious About Kindergarten Program” will be held on March 22 at 5:30 p.m. at . Kindergarten registration will be held that evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m., as well as on Friday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at the school.

Those parents who prefer all-day kindergarten will complete an Application for Consideration for all-day and submit a deposit of $100 at the time of registration. These applications will be handled on an equal, non-discriminatory basis. No preference is given to the date or time of submission of the application. The board of education authorized a minimum of three all-day, but not more than seven all-day kindergarten sessions. If enrollment exceeds the district’s capacity, names will be drawn, via a lottery, filling the all-day classes. Any other interested applicants will be placed on a numbered waiting list.

Information on payment plans, possible discounts based on financial need and other related topics will be available at the time of registration.
