
Senior catcher Ryan Wonders has been named to D-II 1st Team All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA).

As a four year starter, the program has gone 65-42 in his time with season win totals of 18 (2008), 18 (2009), and 19 (2010-school record).

He had one of the finest seasons and careers in school history, rivaling Joe Corfman (2010 All-Mac performer for Toledo), Jake Corfman, and Matt Pignato (Ashland). He holds two career records (doubles and saves) and is in the top five in six other statistical categories.
This was Ryan’s finest year and one of the best in school history. He hit .524 (2nd school history) with 17 RBI, 14 doubles (school record), and slugging percentage of .832 (school record). He made the transition from 3B/SS to catching and was tremendous: only 4 passed balls and threw out 20 of 33 would be base stealers.
2010-2008
2010: He hit .406 with 27 RBI and 10 doubles. He had a 3.13 ERA with four saves. 2009: He hit .391with 20 RBI. He had a 2.06 ERA with 5 saves (school record). 2008: As a late season starter, he hit .318. He had a 2.29 ERA while going 1-1 with a save.
