Interesting free events near Fairlawn and Bath.

, 1 p.m. Australian folksinger Seona McDowell presents the musical program "The Land Downunder." McDowell performs traditional, contemporary and original material on guitar and autoharp, in a children's program that includes folklore and history. Details:  330-666-4888.

The National Bookmobile tour comes to the main branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library Wednesday, August 3 from 10 am – 4 pm. Readers of all ages will learn how to download ebooks from the library onto their digital tablets, computers and smart phones through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos. The Richfield Public Library branch has two events from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3. Kathryn Stockett's book "The Help" is the book of choice for the August adult discussion.
