Drive Goes from Bad to Worse for Woman: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department

It was a bad idea for a local woman to drive on Smith Road June 2, according to a report.

A report said a random check of her license plate showed a Bath officer on patrol her license was suspended.

Then, when he pulled her over about 8:30 p.m., he smelled an alcoholic beverage. The woman failed field sobriety tests and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .163.

The woman, 53, was charged with OVI and released to a friend.

Groceries Lead to Assault

Police were called to Medina Line Road June 1 about an assault, apparently involving twin sisters.

A report said the argument stemmed over the victim helping the alleged attacker unload groceries from the car.

One of the two women, both 25, was arrested for assault.
