Fairlawn Company May Relocate to Beachwood

Omnova Solutions considers moving its headquarters

A Fairlawn company may move its headquarters — at all 140 employees — to Beachwood, Cleveland.com reports.

Omnova Solutions, a polymer company, is considering a new headquarters project at the Chagrin Highlands campus, the website said.

The company's lease on its Ghent Road office expires in 2014.

The deal is reportedly still preliminary, but a Beachwood City Council committee is expected to hear a presentation on the plan Aug. 19.

Omnova develops polymers and specialty chemicals used in coated paper, carpets and other products, and also makes films and fabrics used in ceiling tiles, movie screens, mattress covers and pool liners.
