Fairlawn Council to Discuss Panhandling, Internet Cafes

Fairlawn Committee of the Whole meets Monday at 6 p.m.

members will get down to business discussing the regulation Internet sweepstakes cafes and panhandling at tonight's committee of the whole meeting.

A number of safety and welfare concerns have been raised on several of the city's street corners, said Fairlawn Mayor William Roth. Drafted legislation looks at regulating the time, manner and conduct of panhandling.

The city has also drafted legislation that would allow Officials were waiting for the state to pass regulations, but since it hasn't, Fairlawn officials are stepping forward.
