Government Brief: Fairlawn and Copley Township Help with Flood Cleanup.
Hours extended for pickup of soggy trash, also free shredding available in Summit.

The Copley Township Service Department has extended its flood cleanup efforts. Dumpsters to collect flood debris that were placed in neighborhoods Friday will remain out through the weekend. Service department employees will make another round of pickups Monday July 25 to pick up anything in the dumpsters or that is left at the curb. To make sure a pickup is scheduled for your address call 330-666-0365.
The Fairlawn Service Department will accept storm debris at the city compactor/recycling center for two weeks, beginning Friday, July 22.
If your cleanup efforts have turned up unwanted documents, the will offer free shredding from 9 a.m. to noon today, July 23, at the Macedonia Administration Building, 9699 Valley View Road. The free shredding is open to Summit residents and businesses and is limited to 10 file boxes or shopping bags. Binder clips, rubber bands, binders, paperclips, report covers, hanging files and plastic will not be accepted.
