Government Brief: Summit is in State of Emergency

Declaration from County Executive helps communities seek financial help for cleanup, damages.

At a press conference today Summit County Executive Russ Pry declared a state of emergency because of heavy rain and flooding that hit the area Tuesday.

The declaration is the first step for cities and townships seeking potential state and federal aid to help with the cleanup.

No injuries have been reported from the storm.
