Hale Farm to Host Huge Civil War Re-Enactment

More than 500 men will re-create the Battle of Gettysburg Aug. 10-11

Hale Farm & Village will bring the Civil War to life with smoke-filled intensity at its annual Civil War Reenactment and Encampment Aug. 10-11.

The event re-creates The Battle of Gettysburg on its 150th anniversary.

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11, visitors will experience sights and sounds of a brutal Civil War battle reenacted by more than 500 men, many on horseback.

Guests can also watch foot soldiers perform drills and explain their uniforms as “President Lincoln” speaks to gathering crowds. 

There will also be vendors on Suttlers Row with Civil War merchandise.

This is the largest annual Civil War re-enactment in the state.

Advance tickets are available for weekend event

For adults, a two-day ticket is $15, or $10 for one day. For children, cost is $7.50 for two days and $5 for one day.

Western Reserve Historical Society members and children under 2 are admitted free.
