Marisa Bavaro Resigns from Copley High Principal Position

Bavaro accepted the position early Thursday and resigned from the position the same day.

Newly appointed Copley High Principal Marisa Bavaro has resigned from the position, hours after accepting it Thursday morning, according to Superintendent Brian Poe.

"She said she thought about it and decided that she couldn't leave Brunswick because of her involvement there," Poe said. "It's not for contractual reasons."

Bavaro is the principal at Brunswick High School and has previously worked as the director of operations for the Revere school district.
