
Bath officials welcomed their newest firefighter Tuesday, a retired Cuyahoga Falls captain who wants to give back to his community.
Timothy Lombardi took the oath of office as a part-time firefighter and paramedic.

He's new to the Bath Fire Department, but not to its members.
"Tim was my captain for a long time in the Falls," Fire Chief Walt Hower said.

Lombardi, a 33-year firefighter and father of four, retired last year, giving him more time to devote to Bath Township.
Since leaving Cuyhoaga Falls, Lombardi has also gone through training as a ranger for the national park system, according to Hower.
"Tim's going to bring some experience in a lot of operations," Hower said.
