Poll: Would You Support a Ban on Cellphone Use While Driving?

Is it necessary to keep the roads safe? Or is the government overreaching.

On Tuesday, the National Transportation Safety Board called for a national ban on the use of cellphones and other personal electronic devices while driving.

According to a press release, the recommendation came after the board discussed a fatal accident in Missouri in 2010 where one of the drivers had been text messaging. The board’s recommendation calls for a ban of all uses of the devices, except in an emergency or when the device is created to support driving.
