Richfield Woman Gets 10 years in Prison for Drunk Driving Death of Bath Township Gas Station Attendant
Driver had blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit.
was sentenced today by Judge Alison McCarty to 10 years in prison for for the drunk driving death of . Jilek was driving home after a night of drinking in February and hit Kuzda while she was walking her dog with her boyfriend. Kudza and the dog died. The boyfriend was not injured.
According to the Summit County Prosecutor's office, Jilek's blood alcohol was more than three times the legal limit.
The 30-year-old Richfield woman did not stop after the accident and drove to her home down the street. The Richfield police immediately discovered Jilek’s car, which had a smashed windshield, parked in her driveway. The driver was found passed out at the bottom of a flight of stairs.

The Richfield woman pleaded no contest to the charges in May. She is sentenced to seven years in prison for Aggravated Vehicular Homicide with a lifetime license suspension, and three years in prison for Failure to Stop After an Accident/Hit Skip, to run consecutively.
Kudza, 37, also of Richfield, was assistant manager for the , where she had worked for the last two years.
