Spraying for Mosquitos Already Done in Bath
County has already attacked the virus-carrying pests this summer

The Summit County Public Health Department has already taken aim at mosquitos in Bath Township this summer.
Andrew Beikun, coordinator of the county's mosquito control program, said crews sprayed residential areas of the township the evening of June 13.
The area was picked for early treatment after the county set up mosquito traps in various locations. Spraying is based on the number of mosquitos the traps nab.
"We caught quite a few in Bath," Beikun said.
The department has set up a spraying schedule for other parts of the county.
Fairlawn, however, does its own spraying. Beikun said the city has its own truck and handles its own mosquito control.
Duputy Service Director Ernie Staten could not be reached to comment on whether Fairlawn plans to spray this summer.
