Water Boil Advisory in Effect for Fairlawn and Copley
Schools are open, with alternate drinking water provided

Due to severe low pressures caused by a 36-inch water main break at 6 p.m. Thursday, the Akron Water Department has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for all Akron water customers in Fairlawn and Copley.
All schools are open on Friday, and drinking water from alternate sources will be provided to staff and students in the buildings with Akron water - Copley High School, Fort Island and Herberich. If you have any questions, contact your respective building's main office personnel.

As a precaution, and in accordance with EPA regulations, those Akron water customers in Fairlawn and Copley are advised to boil their water until further notice.
Water for drinking or cooking should be brought to a full boil for a minimum of 2 minutes and returned to the proper temperature before use.
