Assault Charges for Streetsboro Woman, Cleveland Man

A Streetsboro woman and a Cleveland man are facing assault charges following two separate, late-night incidents in Kent.
Dana L. Calo, 34, of Streetsboro, was charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor, following a fight just after midnight on Franklin Avenue, according to .
Calo was charged with assaulting Kenneth R. Weybrecht at 440 Fairchild Ave. on July 22, according to Portage County court records.

She pleaded not guilty to the assault charge Thursday in Judge Barb Oswick's courtroom. Her trial is scheduled to start Aug. 2.
Thomas P. Traylor, 33, of Cleveland, was charged with assaulting a woman just after 2 a.m. on Franklin Ave. July 21, according to online court records.

Traylor told Kent Police he had been pepper sprayed during the incident.
He also pleaded not guilty in Oswick's courtroom Thursday. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 11.
