Nine vendors attended the first market and offered a range of items from radishes, lettuce and fresh picked berries to baked goods, kettle popcorn and firewood.

Pastor Denny Fox told the planning commission in May that the church wanted to provide the market space to the gardeners who cultivate 60 different plots on church land this growing season as a place to offer excess produce.

The church has provided the land for several years to community members to tend.

"In the last few years as we‘ve been offering gardening areas in the back … this has actually grown immensely," Fox said previously.

The market is located in the church parking lot at 1541 S. Water St. across from each Monday afternoon.
