City officials announced Thursday that Kent's supply of finished wood mulch, available to residents, has been depleted "due to the unusually early and warm spring experienced in the region, which has the mulch production contractors working overtime attempting to keep up with the high demand," according to a press release from Kent Service Director Gene Roberts.
The city is working with its contractor to process more mulch, Roberts said.
