Letter: Kudos to Kent for Clear Winter Sidewalks

On the last day of winter, compliments to on the success of the Sidewalk Snow Removal Program. 

Special thanks to Ward 5 (downtown) Council Representative Heidi Shaffer, who resolutely guided this legislation through council for more than two years to adoption. I do business in downtown Kent almost every day, and this winter just ended, the first winter in which the sidewalk snow removal program was in full effect, had the clearest sidewalks and most uninterrupted access to downtown Kent's businesses in memory.
