Doak Wins Sheriff Race; Commissioner Races Set for November

Incumbent Portage County Sheriff Dave Doak won the Democratic primary Tuesday and essentially guaranteed a win in November, according to final but unofficial vote results from the Portage County Board of Elections.

Doak beat Democratic challenger P. Ken Howe. No republican or independent candidates have filed for the November election, which means Doak will run unopposed for his second term.

In the two Portage County Commissioner Races, incumbent Maureen Frederick will face Bridget Pavlik in November and Kathleen Chandler will run against Larry Solak.
