Campers in a recent program enjoyed a summer of fun with nature programs and day camp activities at in Kent.
The children had an opportunity to find Monarch butterfly eggs, caterpillars and watch butterflies flutter by through the flowers with Kent parks naturalist Cathy Ricks.
They did some βcreeking,β where they tested the water, found dragonfly larva and crayfish. They learned about bears, bats, and bugs and had a chance to pan for βfoolβs goldβ and experience some history. Tadpoles transformed into frogs and turtles came to visit. Kids made crafts, friends, went on field trips and learned new skills with the Plum Creek staff.
