Portage Community Bank Sponsors United Way Annual Day of Caring

is sponsoring the annual United Way “Day of Caring” for 2012.

The Annual “Day of Caring” consists of volunteers from across the community lending a hand at local agency sites throughout Portage County. The event takes place Friday, Sept. 7.

“This is a good opportunity for people in Portage County to get a tour of a United Way program and help with an important project for that agency” said, Steve Kleiber, President & CEO of United Way of Portage County.

“We have supported this worthwhile cause since its inception and we are proud to be this year’s sponsor,” said Rick Coe, CEO of Portage Community Bank.

The United Way supports more than 43 community programs across Portage County, some of which would not operate without the support of the United Way community campaign.
