Blotter: Bar Brawl; Peeping Tom; and the Dangerous Sidewalk

Bar brawl at the Buckeye Beer Engine

A large fight was reported at the at around 1 a.m. Aug. 27. Two men responsible for the brawl were seen running east through yards. The victim said he didn’t want any police involvement, and refused medical treatment. 

Peeping Tom

A resident of the Larchmont Apartments told police that she saw a man standing on a car looking into an apartment at around 4 a.m. Aug. 28. When officers showed up, the man took off on foot. After a two-hour search, police called off the search.

Attempted car break-in

A woman in the 1500 block of Lakewood Avenue caught three juveniles attempting to break into her car at around 1:30 a.m. Aug. 29. Police caught up with two of the youngsters a couple blocks away.

Assault

An assault was reported in the apartments at around 1 p.m. Aug. 29.

Lift in the concrete sends man to the sidewalk

A man told police that he injured himself after he tripped on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of Onondaga Avenue around 9 p.m. Aug. 29. He said there is a dangerous 3- to 4-inch lift in the concrete. The public works department was notified.
