Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- A body was found near the Lake Erie Shore on Saturday evening. The Lakewood Fire Department was called to rescue the body after the U.S. Coast Guard determined their boats would not be able to reach the yet-unidentified male victim. The case remains under investigation; anyone with information is asked to contact the Lakewood Police Department. (Cleveland 19 News)
- Yesterday, the Lakewood Fire Department held a Fit Stop Car Seat event to help keep our community's youngest members safe. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fire Station #1 on Madison Avenue, fire department personnel installed child safety seats and checked existing car seats for proper setup. If you missed the event, don't worry: another is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9. (City of Lakewood, Ohio)
- If you're looking for a new home without leaving the area, five new properties have just hit the Lakewood market, all for $350,000 or less. From a renovation opportunity on Parkway Drive to a turnkey colonial on McKinley Avenue, there are plenty of options to explore. Visit the link for pictures, pricing, and other specs.
