The scholarships were awarded to Bridget Schuster and Caitlin Rader of Lakewood, along with women from Cleveland, Olmsted Township, Strongsville, Broadview Heights, Parma, and Warrensville Heights. This year's educational scholarships, awarded to women aged 25 or older who are enrolled in a four-year degree or graduate program, totaled $31,000. Congratulations to the winners! - The Lakewood Public Library is partnering with the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University to bring awareness to the war in Ukraine. The Dear Ukraine global community poem is a project that aims to bring awareness of the atrocities of the war in Ukraine by giving individuals a space to share and reflect through poetry.
