  1. Today is the deadline to submit an application to participate in the Lakewood Community Festival. The 34th annual event will take place on Sep. 10 at Madison Park from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Organizations interested in reserving a space can download a form here or call (216) 529-6650.   2. The Clifton Boulevard-Ethel Avenue intersection in Lakewood has been closed for extensive sewer repairs. The city closed the intersection after discovering a large depression in the pavement where the north end of Ethel Avenue meets Clifton Boulevard. The project is expected to take four to six weeks to complete. (cleveland.com)
  3. Rozi’s Wine House is hosting two upcoming wine and beer fundraisers. On Aug. 27 from 6:00-9:00 p.m., the Lakewood store will hold a wine and cheese fundraiser for Barton Senior Center, which includes unlimited wine by the glass, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and more. Then on Sep. 8, the Beer and Wine Tasting fundraiser will take place from 5:00-8:00 p.m., supporting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (cleveland.com)
