Drunken Driving With Child in the Backseat

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Drunken driving 

Police received a call that a man was urinating on a building in the 12400 block of Detroit Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. March 21. According to the report, he had a child in the car. When officers showed up, they charged the man with operating a vehicle under the influence. The child's age wasn't disclosed.

A man was charged drunken driving after he was found passed out in his parked car in the 1500 block of West Clifton Boulevard at around 2 a.m. March 17.

Purse-snatcher charged

A man who stole a purse in the 13500 block of Elbur Lane was arrested and charged with theft at 7 p.m. March 17. The man dropped the purse while he was running. The purse was returned to its owner.

Arson

Someone tried to set the porch of a home in the 1500 block of Winchester Avenue on fire at around 8:30 p.m. March 19. The fire department responded and quickly extinguished the fire.

Assault

A man in the 13000 block of Clifton Boulevard told police that when he came home, at around 5 p.m. March 20, he found people in his apartment using drugs, who then attacked him.

Burglary

A burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Winchester Avenue at around noon March 21.

That’s not Santa in the chimney

Police got report of a raccoon stuck in the chimney of a home in the 2000 block of Morrison Avenue at around 3 a.m. March 22. The raccoon was growling at the family dog. The Lakewood Animal Warden responded.

Graffiti

A building in the 1300 block of Hird Avenue was reportedly spray-painted at around 10 a.m. March 22.
