🌱 Exterior Lighting Workshop + Lakewood Park Concert Series Extended

Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:

1. LakewoodAlive has scheduled a "Knowing Your Home" exterior lighting workshop for next week. While LakewoodAlive’s educational series has covered dozens of topics during previous workshops, this topic has not been addressed before. LakewoodAlive Housing & Internal Operations Director Allison L. Urbanek said, “Trying to stay fresh and new is a challenge at times, so we’re pretty excited we’re able to put this on, thanks to the help of designer Bryan Evans.” The workshop will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the Lakewood Public Library on Detroit Avenue. 2. Good news, music fans! The Lakewood Park concert series has been extended due to rainouts earlier in the season. On Aug. 21, head to the Lakewood Park Bandstand at 7:00 p.m. for Cheeseburgers in Paradise. Then on Aug. 28, return for The Hillcrest Concert Band, which will be performing at 6:30 p.m. (City of Lakewood)
3. Parents can ensure their children are safe during the Lakewood Fire Department's car seat safety check event. The free event, which is open to all Lakewood families, allows parents to verify that car seats are installed and set up properly. The safety check will be held on Sep. 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fire Station #1, 14601 Madison. Click here to sign up. (Lakewood OH)
