Inclusive Play Area Opens At Edgewater Park
The Lindsey Family Play Space features custom-built elements suitable for children of all ages and abilities.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metroparks debuted their newest, and largest, play area for children this weekend at Edgewater Park.
The $500,000 Lindsey Family Play Space is located near the Upper Edgewater Picnic Shelter and is suitable for children of all ages and abilities. The setup includes boulders, water and sand play, nature play, tunnels, climbing structures, slides and shaded areas. Natural materials were used for many of the custom-built elements.
The play area was made possible through a gift from Brett and Teresa Lindsey and other donors.

“Cleveland is our home, and our family has been blessed to have successful businesses here that drives a responsibility to give back. Our hope is that the park brings joy to families when they come visit Edgewater Park,” said Brett Lindsey.
The one-acre Play Space is surrounded by open field, a paved loop trail and is accessible from Edgewater Beach. The space was designed using community input.
