Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:
- Lakewood Athletic Boosters donated $20,000 to Lakewood City Schools. For over 25 years, Boosters have kept pay-to-participate fees low by donating money to the Lakewood City Schools — and the streak continued this year. According to Vince Frantz, president of the Lakewood Athletic Boosters, their mission is to "offset the cost of the athletic programs in Lakewood so the athletic fees that the school collects for each athlete remain low." - A Lakewood coffee shop was named on a list of "the 16 best vegan coffee shops in the US." Propaganda Coffee was named no. 16 for its extensive sweet and savory menu. The list called out the cafe's drink menu, which offers a bit of everything from tried-and-true espresso drinks to an intriguing beetroot latte. (VegNews)
