Lakewood Dogs Make a Big Splash at Pool Plunge

Dozens of dogs braved high winds and cloudy skies to end summer on the right foot — or paw — with the seventh annual at the Foster Pool at on Tuesday afternoon. 

Proceeds from the event — sponsored by the Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park — will benefit the maintenance and improvements to the .

The event made quite a splash with the dogs — as well as their owners. The event was expected to raise nearly $1,200, said event organizers.
